WHL Franchise Moves?

The Associated Press reported that the Western Hockey League would consider the relocation of one or more franchises to either Los Angeles or San Francisco at the league meetings in Seattle on the 13th. Melvin Smith, president of the Spokane Comets, said his team wasn't getting enough fan support and needed to move. The Victoria and Winnipeg teams were also considering a transfer.
