The Chronicle's Art Rosenbaum said a major factor in the Cow Palace directors' uncertainty about moving forward with the installation of ice sheet making equipment in time for the 1961-62 WHL season was that the arena would have to be closed for six weeks during the work and wouldn't be able to generate any revenue over that period.
