San Francisco Mayor George Christopher proclaimed the week to come San Francisco Seals Ice Hockey Week.
Brisk Sales
The Chronicle reported that the Seals had sold more than 8,000 tickets for the Cow Palace opener on the 17th. They added that the total was barely half that of the draw for a recent wrestling meet at the venue. Tickets were priced at $2.00 for reserved seats and $1.50 for general admission.
